We got our very first press mention this week, in Homes and Interiors Scotland, page 104. The article is about the best gallery shops in Scotland, and we're covered in a piece about the Glasgow School of Art shop - our scarves are the 'most wanted' items!

Burra Bears!

Wendy and I have lots of scarves on display and for sale at Winter Warmth, The Park Gallery and Callender House, Callendar Park, Falkirk.

We were both at the opening today and very well attended it was too! It was lovely to see so many people there, supporting designer makers like us.

Amongst the lovely things to buy are Burra Bears from Shetland, handmade from beautiful shetland wool jumpers. I fell in love with a 12 inch Burra Bear called Ivor 'O'Uptroo (each bear has it's own name) and he came home with me to Glasgow - he's now a city bear! Check out http://www.burrabears.co.uk

The Incorporation of Barber Surgeons, Glasgow

Wendy and I have just completed a commission for a ladies silk twill scarf for the Incorporation of Barber Surgeons in Glasgow. Our design is based on the barbers pole, the design of which is derived from the bandages they would use in their work. We really enjoyed creating this bespoke design and we'd love to do more commission work.
